The Blues & Improvisation Program builds upon the blues foundation that has been established throughout the first several Foundation Levels. It further explores the role of I, IV, V, provides strategies for quickly establishing I, IV, V in any key, reveals a unique strategy for quickly discovering the blues scale in any key, and provides simple, structures projects that further develop students’ ability to improvise in the blues framework.
